GARDINER, Maine — State police say two Maine men face child pornography charges after arrests in Fairfield and Gardiner.
Police say 59-year-old Barry Williams of Gardiner and 68-year-old Thomas Williams of Fairfield were arrested late last week. The men are not related and were both arrested in their homes.
Police say Thomas Williams was bailed from Fairfield's police station while Barry Williams was taken to Kennebec County Jail in Augusta. Both men are charged with possessing sexually explicit material of someone under the age of 12. Police arrested the men after their computers were examined by the state police's Computer Crime Unit.
Messages left for both men were not returned.
