Bullied: A Student, a School and a Case That Made History

Bullied: A Student, a School and a Case That Made History

Out! As I Want to Be sponsored a talk in Rockland by Jamie Nabozny, the subject of the documentary Bullied.

Caution: Language contained in this program may be offensive to some listeners; listener discretion is advised.

Throughout his Middle School and High School years Jamie was verbally and physically bullied for being gay. He fought back and won a federal lawsuit against school administrators for failing to stop the harassment. He now speaks out for those who are bullied and works with schools to stop bullying. He was recently named a Defender of Human Rights by the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights.

This talk was recorded May 3, 2012 at The Strand Theatre in Rockland.
