Colby College in Waterville recently presented the annual Elijah Parish Lovejoy Award for Courageous Journalism. The 2013 recipient is A.C. Thompson, a reporter for Pro Publica. whose work led to federal charges against seven New Orleans police officers in the shooting of civilians following Hurricane Katrina.
