On Oct. 20, 2014, James Tierney, Columbia Law School faculty and former Maine attorney general, delivered an address on the effect of immigrants on Maine’s economy.
Tierney served as attorney general of Maine from 1980 to 1990. He currently practices as a consultant to attorneys general and others regarding state regulatory structures and multistate initiatives. Tierney is a graduate of the University of Maine and its School of Law.
