Maine Wardens Find Lost Hikers, Elderly Man

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) _ Maine game wardens say an 86-year-old man who suffered a medical event while fishing has been located and taken to a hospital.

Wardens said David Crocker of Portland was fishing on Monday when he had a health scare and it wasn't until Wednesday when a phone call awakened him that he was able to convey that he needed help.

Four game wardens and a Cumberland County deputy were able to locate Crocker after conducting a hasty search along Meadow Brook. Crocker was transported to a Portland hospital.

Also Wednesday, wardens located two teenagers who got lost in a rainstorm while hiking near Gardner Pond. They were located early Wednesday by wardens.
