AUGUSTA, Maine - A West Point graduate and staffer for Maine Sen. Susan Collins has been named the new director of the state's Bureau of Veterans' Services.
Adria Horn will take over for Peter Ogden, who's retiring this June.
Horn is currently a US Army Reservist with US Pacific Command and has been deployed five times throughout her 14-year career. She's leaving Collins' office to take her new post.
Ogden, who served two combat tours in Vietnam, has led the bureau since 2004.
Brig. Gen. James Campbell, commissioner of the Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management, says in a statement that Horn is exactly the right person to take over the bureau at this time.
