April 15 is traditionally recognized as tax day, but activists across the country are also making it a day of action in support of tax equality.
Portland rally organizer Kim Matthews says they’re demanding that President Donald Trump reveal his tax information to the nation that elected him.
“I think people need to see his tax returns so we can see what his potential conflicts of interest are,” she says.
No recent president has drawn a veil over such information, Matthews says.
Rallies are planned across the country. In Maine, rallies will be held in Portland, Bangor and Thomaston.
