Catholic Charities Maine Refugee and Immigrant Services has resettled more than 12,000 refugees in the past 30 years. With refugees continuing to arrive in our state from countries like Sudan, Iran and Syria, what is the process of bringing them into Maine, and how do they get started with their new lives here? Maine’s leaders in refugee resettlement will address the many steps involved, from the vetting process to learning English to finding employment and schooling.

Guests: Tarlan Ahmadov, State Refugee Coordinator, Office of Maine Refugee Services
Catholic Charities Maine
Abdullahi Ali, founder and CEO of Gateway Community Services.
Hilary Barber, English Language Learners Director for Lewiston Public Schools
