Two Killed in Prospect Crash, Third Critically Injured

PROSPECT, Maine -  Maine State Police say speed is likely to blame for a single vehicle crash on a local road in Prospect, which killed two men and sent a third to the hospital.

Dead is John Moriarty, 59 of Bangor and Brad Pomerory, 35 of Searsport. 31 year old Adam Littlefield of Winterport was critically injured in the crash on North Searsport Rd. late Saturday afternoon.

Authorities say the trio's 2010 Toyota Tacoma pickup left the roadway, struck a utility pole, and rolled several times.

Littlefield was transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center and listed in critical condition with multiple injuries.

The crash is still under investigation, and police say it's not yet clear who was behind the wheel.
