Brighten your December with daily music from Guts Baroque, your local baroque garage band!

Whether you're looking for moments of holiday joy or moments of respite from a stressful season, treat yourself (and your loved ones!) to a special Advent calendar with a micro-concert video each day.

In the spirit of mystery, we won’t give away in advance which pieces you’ll hear, but we’ve had a great time choosing them and can’t wait to share them with you! We will tell you that it’ll be a mix of music, some Christmassy and some not.

Send us a donation of any amount $20–$100 and you’ll receive a daily email with a new micro-concert video from December 1st to 25th. Daily videos will be about 3–5min each, with a slightly longer one for Christmas Day.

After you open them, videos will continue to be available through the end of January—just in case you need some music to brighten the quiet of post-holiday time, as we settle in to winter.

Enjoy a FREE breakfast with Santa at PRCC! 🎅🥞 Kids of ALL ages are welcome! On Saturday, December 21st we'll have a pancake breakfast with Santa Claus and his elves -- be sure to bring your camera for a photo opportunity. Breakfast will start at 8:30am with Santa arriving at 9:00am.🎄✨

Craft Fair at the Augusta Armory December 21 & 22, 2024 our final craft show of the 2024 season. We featuring quality artists & crafters from Maine and New England selling their one-of-a-kind products that you will be proud to give as gifts.

Each show will have a few of the same and many different crafters all at the Augusta Armory, 179 Western Ave, Rt 202 by the airport on Saturday & Sunday December 21 & 22, 2024 9-4 PM both days.

Lamoine Community Arts' 2025 Black Box Production Scotland Road, directed by Wynne Guglielmo will hold auditions on Saturday, December 21st from 9am - noon, and Sunday, December 22 from 1pm-3pm. Three female roles (ages 20s, 30s, 40s, and 80-90s), 1 male role (late 30s or early 40s), and crew roles needed for this production (House Manager, Lighting/Sound, stage, set, etc.). This will be a memorized production.

Rehearsals begin in January 2025 on Saturdays & Sundays and run through to performance weekend.

Puzzling Adventures are a cross between a scavenger hunt, an adventure race, and an informative self-guided walking tour. Each adventure consists of a series of locations that you are guided to where you are required to answer a question or solve a puzzle to receive your next instruction. Compete as a group, individually or create multiple teams and race each other. Almost all of our adventures are designed to be wheelchair and stroller friendly and all are carefully crafted to be entertaining and informative with something to appeal to all ages. Complete the adventure as quickly as possible to win first place or take your time and enjoy the journey. Price is per team, not per person. Groups can be any size, but small groups are recommended for the best experience.

Ocean Fire Pottery is hosting our 16th annual Holiday Extravaganza. While the gallery will be open daily, we will continue to celebrate through December with guest artists each Saturdays and some Sundays 10 am-3pm.
We will have the outdoor fires blazing, hot drinks, snacks and a a fantastic selection of local art; from jewelry, soap, candles, crocheted hats, original paintings to canvas bags, baked goods, holiday decor, pottery and so much more.

The Zillman Art Museum - University of Maine, located at 40 Harlow Street in Bangor, ME, opened three featured fall exhibitions on September 20.

ZAM is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 am - 5 pm and brings modern and contemporary art to the region, presenting approximately 21 original exhibitions each year. Admission to the Zillman Art Museum is free in 2024 thanks to the generosity of Birchbrook.

The Lewiston Public Library will be offering drop-in Preschool Playdates from 10:30am-12:30pm on Saturdays in the Children’s program room.

Drop-in and join us for Preschool Playdates! Preschoolers and their families are invited to stop in during our Preschool Playdates to engage in imaginative play and build friendships. A variety of toys, games, and crafts will be available during all sessions.

The programs will take place in the Children’s Program Room on the 3rd floor.

The programs are free and there is no registration required. All families with children between the ages of 2-6 are welcome to attend. Siblings are also welcome.
