HAMPDEN, Maine (AP) - 55-year-old Philip Clark of Hampden was arrested Friday for the alleged murder of a woman who lived at the same location on Kennebec Road.
An autopsy performed Saturday indicates that the victim died from multiple gunshot wounds. A positive identification is pending, however, the victim's probable identity is known.
WABI TV5 is reporting that the victim is a sister-in-law of Clark's and had sought- and was denied- a protection from abuse order against Clark in February.
It was unclear Saturday if Clark had been able to retain an attorney.
